Many people think the info on the sidewall of a tire includes the correct air pressure. Actually, the PSI (pounds per square inch) noted on a tire’s sidewall is the maximum pressure at which that tire will carry its maximum load. But that tire could be used on many different models of car or truck, and each of those vehicles has a different suspension, load-carrying capacity and other characteristics. So the CORRECT air pressure for your vehicle will be posted on a sticker on the driver’s door jamb (unless it’s a very old vehicle). That sticker will look like the one we’ve posted here.
